Editorial policy
How content on this site is written, what it will never claim, and how errors are handled. This policy is the public version of the internal content system — if the site breaks it, that is a bug, not a strategy.
The rules
No invented facts
No statistics, testimonials, ratings, prices, addresses, certifications, awards, or author credentials are published unless they are real and verifiable. Worked examples resolve to real chart rows; nothing else is presented as a number.
Guidance is labelled guidance
Band-width and stacking adjustments are rules of thumb, and are labelled as such on every page that uses them. They are never presented as standards, and seller advice for a specific ring always outranks them.
No fake authors, no fake dates
No author byline is published unless a real named person wrote or reviewed the content. No “updated” date is shown unless a substantive review actually occurred on that date. Publication dates are real publication dates.
No expert-review claim without a reviewer
This site does not claim professional jewelry-expert review, because no qualified reviewer has reviewed and approved the content. If that changes, the reviewer's name and the date will be published with the reviewed pages — not claimed in advance.
Brands only from verified documentation
No brand or smart-ring guide is published until that brand's current official sizing documentation has been verified, and no affiliation or endorsement is claimed. Unverified brands stay unpublished, however popular they are.
One page per intent
Keyword variations with the same intent share one page; variations that add nothing get a redirect, not a new page. No mass-generated size-lookup pages, no duplicated introductions, no filler written to reach a word count.
Corrections
If a size, conversion, or statement on this site is wrong, it will be corrected on the page itself, and the correction will be noted in the site's documentation. There is currently no public contact inbox (see the contact page for why an unmonitored address is not listed); when a monitored contact channel exists, it will be published there and this policy will point to it. Until then, the most reliable check is the one this policy already gives you: every size can be verified with π against the chart, and every reference is listed on the sources page.
Independence
This site does not sell rings, does not take commissions, and shows no advertising in this stage. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any jewelry brand, smart-ring maker, or sizing-standard body. References to standards and retailers on the sources page are citations, not endorsements.
